Cradle to Grave Race
Celebrate the rich cultural and natural history of the Cradle of Forestry, while encouraging overall wellness & outdoor recreation in Pisgah National Forest.
Even with the virtual format due to COVID-19, the Cradle to Grave Race was a success. We hope that next year we are able to resume the in-person event, but we will continue to monitor CDC guidelines for the safety of all involved. Thank you to everyone who participated!
Under normal circumstances, the Cradle-to-Grave 30k would begin and end at the Cradle of Forestry site, offering a challenging race for serious trail runners by utilizing a combination of paved trails at the Cradle of Forestry, gravel Forest Service roads, and several single-track trails deep within Pisgah National Forest.
HOWEVER, FOR THE SAFETY OF PARTICIPANTS, PARTNERS, AND SPECTATORS, THE 2020 RACE WENT VIRTUAL, QUARANTINE EDITION.
While this format is not what the Cradle to Grave 10k and 30k were designed to achieve, we were grateful that so many runners chose to stick with this year’s race and run the miles on their own.
Thank You 2020 Sponsors!
