Program Details

Indian-Celina Recreation Area, FIND Outdoors and the Hoosier National Forest invite you to join us on Saturday, July 15, 2023 to learn about the amazing dung beetles. US Forest Service Interpreter Summer McDuffie will lead this informative session.

Did you know that you can find dung beetles on the Hoosier National Forest? Dung beetles are attracted to horse droppings on our trails and if your lucky, you might just see one! Everyone is invited to join us at the amphitheater to learn more about these awesome strong and smart little beetles.

We will then watch the movie “A Bug’s Life”.

Everyone is welcome to this exciting program. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

If you require a reasonable accommodation to fully participate in this event, please contact Summer McDuffie prior to the event date via email at summer.mcduffie@usda.gov or telephone (812) 276-4750 to discuss your accessibility needs.
