The Junior Ranger (JR) program is an exciting way for young people to explore their national forests and grasslands. Here at the Cradle of Forestry we use Forest Service science and practices to encourage girls and boys ages 8 to 12 to enjoy and appreciate nature.
This year we are focusing on SCOUTING! Each Junior Forest Ranger program will focus on either a Scouts of America or Girl Scouts of America Badge. *You do not need to be a registered scout to participate. * Come learn the basics about each topic and earn a badge if you want!
Programs run weekly on Thursdays from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Program costs $5 per child plus optional $3.50 for badge (July 7, 14 and 21 only).
