Ever stared up at the large rock formations around the Red River Gorge and wondered, how did these form? Join us on Saturday July 30th at 12:30 to have this question and more answered on a guided hike around Tower Rock! The journey will start at the Gladie Visitor Center with a shuttle taking us to and from the Tower Rock trail head. This is an easy 0.75 mile long trail and the hike will last about 1 to 1.5 hours with time to discuss rock formations, species that rely on them, and stewardship of the formations. For safety reasons this event is limited to 10 participants and people aged 12 and up. Please come prepared with water, hiking boots, sunscreen, a daypack, a snack, and trekking poles if you feel like you will need them. To register visit https://tinyurl.com/TrektoTower.
