Located in Glendale, NC and just outside of Boone, the Post was built in the late 1950’s and features a 2,000 square foot space chock full of Parkway t-shirts, hats, nature-based games and children’s activities. Local pastries, crafts and homemade pottery and jewelry round out the retail side of the Post. But maybe you’re looking to take a break and sit a spell? The Trading Post also serves up pre-packaged sandwiches and snacks, ice-cold drinks, fudge and all are best enjoyed while sitting on the Trading Post’s large rocking chairs on the front porch. And new for this year – FIND Outdoors is introducing educational opportunities for our visitors to the area. Cherokee talks and demonstrations, Mountains-To-Sea hikes and more are on tap with many more to come this season. Come on up to the Northwest Trading Post next time you’re cruising the Parkway!
