Morganton Point Recreation Area, operated by FIND Outdoors in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service, is located on the shores of Lake Blue Ridge, a 3,290-acre lake featuring 60 miles of scenic shoreline in North Georgia. The recreation area offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, swimming, hiking, picnicking, boating, and fishing, making it an ideal destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts.

For overnight stays, Morganton Point Campground provides over 40 campsites, including group camping and walk-in options, offering a peaceful setting for a weekend getaway, family vacation, or extended outdoor retreat. Visitors can enjoy the natural beauty of Lake Blue Ridge while experiencing the convenience of a well-maintained recreation area in the North Georgia mountains.

Located at the beach and boat ramp area within Morganton Point, The Point is your source for snacks, souvenirs, lakefront beach access and best of all, kayak and paddleboard rentals. It’s an easy walk from anywhere in the campground! (Open seasonally)

Directions

Take U.S. Highway 515 north from Blue Ridge for 4 miles to Georgia Highway 60. Turn right (southwest) and continue 3 miles to the town of Morganton. In Morganton, turn right on County Road 616 (Lake Drive) and proceed for 1 mile. To enter the campground, take the first left after the Morganton Point entrance sign.
