Daniel spent almost 20 years with REI, working in many capacities from the sales floor to community outreach, education and outdoor guided experiences. In 2010, he oversaw the creation of REI’s Outdoor School in Atlanta, offering educational outdoor experiences from navigation to cooking and rock climbing to mountain biking. Daniel served as a National Operations Program Manager for several areas of growth including rental operations in several major cities and the expansion of REI’s Signature Camp locations. Daniel holds a masters degree in environmental policy and management and sees exceptional outdoor education and experiences as critical to the future of conservation and stewardship. Outside of work, Daniel is an avid cyclist and enjoys bikepacking all over the world.
