Visitor Center and Gift Shop
The visitor center and gift shop can be accessed without using stairs via an accessible route, and the interior is wheelchair accessible. Visitors can speak with staff, review site information, browse the gift shop, and prepare for their time outdoors. Visitors with specific access needs are encouraged to contact the site before arriving for the most current information about facilities, services, and trail conditions.
Parking and Restrooms
Four van-accessible parking spaces are available near the visitor center.
Restrooms are located at the visitor center and include accessible stalls. They are available during visitor-center operating hours and close before the recreation area’s entrance gate, so visitors should plan accordingly near the end of the day.
Anna Ruby Falls Trail
The main Anna Ruby Falls Trail is paved, but it includes steep inclines and rugged outdoor conditions. It should not be treated like a level sidewalk. Wet pavement, leaves, debris, changing weather, and crowded conditions may make the route more difficult.
Wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, and other motorized or non-motorized mobility assistance devices are not permitted on the Anna Ruby Falls Trail because of its steep inclines and rugged conditions.
Strollers are permitted at the visitor’s own risk. The steep climb and descent can make a stroller difficult to control, particularly when carrying additional weight or when the pavement is wet.
Lion’s Eye Trail
The Lion’s Eye Trail is the primary on-site trail experience for visitors using wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, or other mobility devices.
Located near the visitor center, this short paved trail follows Smith Creek through a quiet forest setting. It includes interpretive signs in standard text and braille, along with a cable handrail. Although the trail does not lead to the waterfalls, it offers an opportunity to experience the creek and surrounding forest without navigating the steep grades of the main Anna Ruby Falls Trail.
The Lion’s Eye Trail remains an outdoor forest trail, and conditions may vary due to weather, moisture, leaves, debris, maintenance, and natural wear.
Mobility Assistance
Wheelchairs and other mobility equipment are not provided at Anna Ruby Falls. Visitors should bring any equipment they may need during their visit.
Service Animals and Pets
Service animals are permitted in accordance with applicable law.
Pets are welcome in designated outdoor areas when they are leashed, well behaved, and under control. Pets are not permitted inside the gift shop or restrooms. Visitors are responsible for cleaning up after their animals and should keep them away from wildlife, creeks, and restricted areas.
