Camping reservations are managed through Recreation.gov. FIND Outdoors staff cannot create, change, or cancel Recreation.gov reservations on behalf of visitors.

Reserving a Campsite

Reservations for Doll Mountain, Woodring Developed, and Woodring Primitive are made through Recreation.gov.

When booking, visitors can select travel dates, compare available campsites, review site-specific amenities and equipment limits, and see the total cost before completing a reservation.

Before traveling, review your reservation confirmation carefully. Individual campsites may differ in electrical service, parking space, equipment size limits, tent areas, accessibility features, and proximity to the lake.

Doll Mountain Campground & Recreation Area

Doll Mountain offers developed camping for tents, RVs, trailers, and groups along Carters Lake.

Campsite Fees

Standard Electric Sites: $36 to $42 per night

Tent-Only Electric Sites: $30 per night

Tent-Only Non-Electric Sites: $26 per night

Group Tent-Only Non-Electric Area: $100 per night

Rates vary by campsite type and available amenities. Visitors traveling with an RV, trailer, or other large camping equipment should review the individual campsite description and equipment limits before reserving.

A completed camping reservation is required before staying overnight.

Woodring Developed Campground

Woodring Developed Campground offers developed lakeside camping for tents and RVs with access to campground facilities and recreation around Carters Lake.

Campsite Fees

Standard Electric Sites: $36 to $42 per night

Tent-Only Non-Electric Sites: $26 per night

Campsites vary in size, electrical service, parking capacity, equipment limits, and location. Review the details for your selected site carefully before completing a reservation.

Woodring Developed and Woodring Primitive are separate camping areas with different facilities and campsite types. Visitors should make sure they are reserving the campground that best matches their trip.

Woodring Primitive Campground

Woodring Primitive Campground offers 11 wooded, tent-only campsites for visitors looking for a simpler camping experience.

Campsite Fee

Tent-Only Non-Electric Site: $10 per night

Primitive camping provides fewer developed amenities than Woodring Developed Campground. Visitors should review the campground information before arriving and bring the supplies needed for their stay.

A completed camping reservation is required before staying overnight.

Woodring Primitive and Woodring Developed are separate camping areas. Amenities available within the developed campground should not be assumed to be included with a Woodring Primitive reservation.

Harris Branch Beach Recreation Area

Harris Branch Beach is a seasonal day-use recreation area. Overnight camping is not available.

Day-Use Fee

Admission: $5 per vehicle

The day-use fee provides access to Harris Branch during operating hours for swimming, picnicking, fishing, nature walks, and other permitted recreation.

Camping reservations are not required because Harris Branch does not offer overnight campsites.

Qualifying America the Beautiful federal recreation passes may be accepted for day-use entry when the passholder is present. Visitors planning to use a pass should bring it with them and review current pass requirements before arriving.

Because Harris Branch operates seasonally, visitors should check current operating dates and hours before traveling.

America the Beautiful Passes & Camping Discounts

America the Beautiful federal recreation passes may provide discounts or other benefits at eligible recreation areas. The benefit can vary depending on the type of pass, fee, campsite, or reservation.

Camping discounts may not apply to every campsite, group area, reservation fee, or additional charge. Visitors should review any available discount information during the Recreation.gov booking process before completing a reservation.

If using a federal recreation pass, bring the physical pass with you during your visit.

Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

Camping reservations are managed through Recreation.gov rather than directly through FIND Outdoors.

Changes, cancellations, refunds, and related fees are subject to Recreation.gov policies and the terms associated with the individual reservation.

Visitors should review cancellation deadlines and refund information before completing a reservation. If travel plans change, make reservation adjustments through Recreation.gov as early as possible.

FIND Outdoors staff cannot make changes to a Recreation.gov reservation.
