Cradle of Forestry

Admissions & Fees

Admission to the Cradle of Forestry can be paid when you arrive at the site, and no advance purchase is required.

The Cradle of Forestry is operated by FIND Outdoors, an outdoor recreation nonprofit, in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service. Admission revenue is reinvested into the site, helping support exhibits, trails, educational programs, visitor services, and the outdoor experiences that make the Cradle a special place to explore within Pisgah National Forest.

During your visit, you can explore the Discovery Center, view interactive exhibits, watch the site film, walk paved interpretive trails, visit historic Biltmore Forest School buildings, and enjoy family-friendly experiences throughout the site.

The most current admission rates are listed on our main FIND Outdoors Cradle of Forestry page. Select federal passholders may also be eligible for reduced admission rates. Before your visit, check the official page for the most up-to-date pricing, hours, and seasonal information.
