From Asheville, NC
The Cradle of Forestry is located approximately 40 miles southwest of Asheville and can typically be reached in about 60 minutes, depending on traffic, weather, and road conditions.
From Asheville, take I-26 East toward Hendersonville. Take Exit 40 for NC-280 West toward Brevard. Continue on NC-280 West, then turn right onto US-276 North into Pisgah National Forest. Follow US-276 North and turn right onto Cradle Drive. Follow signs to the visitor parking area.
From the Pisgah Visitor Center
The Cradle of Forestry is located approximately 9.8 miles north of the Pisgah Visitor Center. Follow US-276 North, then turn right into the Cradle entrance, check in at the ticket booth and follow signs for the visitor parking area.
Parking Information
On-site visitor parking is available during operating hours. Visitors should follow posted signs and park only in designated areas.
