A spooky, halloween-inspired storytelling ballad-concert!

Event Details

Deep in the woods of Appalachia, terrifying tales have been passed down through the generations. Join us at the Cradle of Forestry for a night of spooky Appalachian folklore and Halloween-inspired ballads. Featuring Sheila Kay Adams, along with Donna Ray Norton and William Ritter.

Come experience a night of unforgettable storytelling, music, and hair-raising tales at the birthplace of American forestry.

 

Plan Your Visit

Parking & Fees: This is a ticketed event. Tickets will not be sold at the event. Parking is free, and all guests must check in at the Discovery Center. 

Food & Beverage:

  • Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome. Alcoholic beverages must be purchased on-site.
  • Each individual can purchase up to two (2) alcoholic beverages on-site.

Format & Participation: This is a seated event in the outdoor amphitheater. 

Schedule: The event gates will open directly at 6:00 PM, and the performance will begin at 6:30 in the Cradle of Forestry’s outdoor amphitheater.

Pets are not permitted at nighttime events at FIND Outdoors. This policy is in place for the safety and comfort of all visitors, as nighttime events may involve walking trails after dark, limited visibility, and designated seating areas with limited space. Service animals are permitted in accordance with applicable law.

What to Bring

  • Lawn chairs or a blanket for seating
    • NOTE: Amphitheater seating is available, but is first-come, first-served
  • Water bottle (refill stations available)
  • Weather-appropriate clothing

Cancellation Policy

  • Tickets will ONLY be available for purchase ONLINE. All ticket purchases are NON-REFUNDABLE. You CANNOT purchase tickets on site.
  • There is NO waitlist for this event.
  • All ticket purchases are NON-REFUNDABLE.  Unused ticket purchases will support the mission and work of FIND Outdoors, a 501(c)(3) tax-deductible nonprofit organization, Tax ID# 56-1302500.
  • Visitors will receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to severe weather or other unforeseen circumstances.  Cancellation decisions will be made by 2:00 pm on the day of the show. Attendees will be notified by email, and a sign will be posted at the site.
