This event is rain or shine. If severe weather requires us to move indoors, indoor space will be available as capacity allows.
You’ll get the chance to meet incredible raptors up close and personal, while learning how these majestic birds play a vital role in our ecosystem and the food chain in the wild.
The master falconer will also share his experience and passion for working with these remarkable birds, offering a rare glimpse into the special relationship between falconer and falcon.
Raptors are wild predators, majestic, powerful, and unpredictable. To keep everyone safe and ensure an enjoyable experience for visitors and birds alike, we ask that you observe from a respectful distance of at least 4 feet and please leave pets at home. Following these simple guidelines will help every guest and every bird have an unforgettable experience!

Guests should plan to arrive early and park in the Cradle of Forestry parking lot, where they will check in at the gift shop and pay the standard entrance fee. From there, follow signage out the back of the building to the amphitheater. The falconry presentation will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Visitors are welcome to drop in at any time during the event to view the raptors either from a distance or up close, depending on their comfort level and preference. Visitors are encouraged to explore the Cradle of Forestry before, during or after the event, including paved trails, the Discovery Center, and historic buildings throughout the site!
