Stewards, Stories, and S'mores! - Doll Mountain Campground

Event Details

Who doesn’t enjoy a good story around the campfire? Stewards, Stories, & S’mores welcomes all visitors to Doll Mountain for a s’more-filled evening of storybook reading and cozy stewardship! Our educator and campground hosts will read various children’s books throughout the evening, all themed in environmental education and rich with vibrant illustrations. Example books we will read through and provide additional interpretive exploration: Big Tracks, Little Tracks: Following Animal Footprints; About Amphibians; About Mammals

Plan Your Visit

Format & Participation: This event will start around 7:00 PM, and families are welcome to enjoy s’mores during and after story read-throughs. Our hosts and educator will begin closing down the site around 9:00 pm. 

On-site Location: This event is located within the campgrounds at site #38: when entering the campground through the gatehouse, continue until you approach a small parking area marked with signage guiding you to the location. Restrooms are located across from the event site.
