Grab your costume and your candy bucket and head to Morganton Point for a Halloween night under the stars. Wander the campground for trick-or-treating, then swing by to check out the pumpkin carving contest entries. Got a knack for carving? Bring your own pumpkin (BYOP) and submit your masterpiece to the office by 5:00 PM for judging, with prizes for the best ones. Campers and non-campers are both welcome. Feeling festive? Decorate your campsite for the occasion (just skip the nails on trees).
Plan Your Visit
Getting there: Non-camper guests may enter through the main campground gate or use the campground trail from the Day Use parking area.
Parking: Please follow all campground parking rules and posted signage upon arrival.
Format & Participation Type: No check-in is required. Guests may simply arrive and participate throughout the evening. This is a drop-in, family-friendly event with trick-or-treating and a pumpkin carving contest.
Schedule: Saturday, October 31, 2026, trick-or-treating is from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The pumpkin carving contest will take place throughout the day and must be submitted to the office by 5:00 PM, with prizes awarded to winning entries.
The event will take place throughout the Morganton Point Campground. Follow posted event signs and staff directions once on-site.
