Event Details

Grab your costume and your candy bucket and head to Morganton Point for a Halloween night under the stars. Wander the campground for trick-or-treating, then swing by to check out the pumpkin carving contest entries. Got a knack for carving? Bring your own pumpkin (BYOP) and submit your masterpiece to the office by 5:00 PM for judging, with prizes for the best ones. Feeling festive? Decorate your campsite for the occasion (just skip the nails on trees).

Plan Your Visit

Parking & Fees

Visitors may enter through the main campground gate or use the campground trail from the Day Use parking area. Please follow all campground parking rules and posted signage upon arrival.

Format & Participation

No check-in is required. Visitors may simply arrive and participate throughout the evening. This is a drop-in, family-friendly event with trick-or-treating and a pumpkin carving contest.

Schedule

Saturday, October 31, 2026, trick-or-treating is from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The pumpkin carving contest will take place throughout the day and must be submitted to the office by 5:00 PM, with prizes awarded to winning entries. 

On-Site Location

The event will take place throughout the Morganton Point Campground. Follow posted event signs and staff directions once on-site.
