At the rear of the campground, visitors will find the trailhead for the popular Angel Falls/Panther Falls Hiking Trail (trail length 1.7 miles).

Spend Time Outside

Swimming & Boating
Swimming is available at a designated roped-off recreation area and is especially popular during the warmer months.

Lake conditions can change because of weather, storms, water levels, and boating activity. Visitors should use caution around changing depths and shoreline conditions, supervise children closely, and leave the water if thunder, lightning, high winds, or other unsafe conditions develop. A nearby boat launch and fishing pier offer fishing and boating. 

Boating and paddling are popular on Lake Rabun; visitors can bring boats, kayaks, canoes, or other permitted watercraft and use designated lake-access areas to explore the surrounding shoreline. Boaters and paddlers should wear appropriate life jackets and follow all applicable Georgia boating and water-safety regulations.

Enjoy a Picnic by the Lake
One designated picnic area provides a place to take a break, share a meal, and enjoy the surrounding scenery. Visitors should keep picnic areas clean, secure food and trash, and leave shared spaces ready for the next group.
