Hours & Season
Morganton Point operates year-round. However, there may be limited services from November to April.
The POINT is open seasonally.
Entry & Parking
Day-Use / Beach Visitors: Use the main parking lots adjacent to the swim beach and picnic grounds.
Campers with Reservations: Park at your assigned campsite
First-Come, First-Served Campers: Park in the specific lot adjacent to your non-reserved campsite.
How Long to Plan
Most visitors planning to use the day-use area typically stay all day! There is plenty of time for swimming, picnicking, boating, and fishing.
Facilities & Amenities
The campground offers campsites, several walk-in sites, and first-come, first-served sites.
Each site is equipped with tables and campfire rings. Accessible showers and drinking water are also provided.
Beach access includes a designated swimming area, picnic tables, outdoor showers, and trash collection bins.
Pets
Dogs are welcome at Morganton Point as long as they are leashed, well-behaved, and under control at all times. Visitors are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Pets should not disturb other visitors, wildlife, trails, picnic areas, or natural resources. Service animals are permitted under applicable law.
