Events & Programs

Learn, Explore and Connect

Throughout the operating season, FIND Outdoors offers programs and special events at the Pisgah Visitor Center and Cradle of Forestry that help visitors connect with the forests, history, and culture of the Southern Appalachian Mountains. These experiences can add something special to your visit, whether you join a guided walk, attend a wildlife program, take part in a hands-on activity, or visit during a seasonal celebration.

Programming changes throughout the season, so every visit can feel a little different and offer something new to discover. Families, students, nature lovers, and returning visitors can find new ways to learn about forest conservation, local wildlife, Appalachian heritage, and the story of America’s first forestry school through engaging, hands-on experiences.
