Raffle Rules & Regulations

• • This raffle is a fundraising event, and all net proceeds benefit FIND Outdoors. 
  • FIND Outdoors is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization EIN# 56-1302500
  • The drawing will take place on Saturday, November 14th at 8:00 PM EDT. All mail, phone, and internet orders must be received by 11:59PM EST on Wednesday, November 11th .
  • The cost to purchase a single entry (“Ticket”) for the Raffle is $20 (U.S. Funds only) and is not tax-deductible. Additional tickets sold at reduced cost. By entering this raffle, entrants accept and agree to be bound by all the rules, limitations, and restrictions set forth here and that their names and/or likenesses may be disclosed to and used by the news media and may otherwise be used by FIND Outdoors for publicity purposes. 
  • Trip voucher valid for space available travel within one calendar year beginning November 14th, 2026, except for high-season dates (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years´ Eve).
  • The chances of winning are based on the number of tickets sold. If fewer tickets are sold, the chances of winning improve. All tickets have an equal chance to win the prize.
  • This tour includes 3 nights in Galapagos on a luxury yacht. Additional nights in Galapagos can be added to this tour for additional costs.
  • Trip voucher is non-transferable.
  • The gross winnings of the raffle will be reported to the federal and state tax authorities at the Fair Market Value (approximately $17,000), and the winner is responsible for income tax withholding prior to taking title to the prize (approximately $4,000).
  • Individuals may purchase as many tickets as they wish. 
  • Participants must be 18 years old or older. 
  • FIND Outdoors employees, faculty, and students 18 or older are eligible to participate.
  • Winnings are not redeemable for cash. Unused services are of no monetary value.
  • Winner must agree to all travel stipulations as determined or required by Galapagos Adventures, Golden Galapagos, La Selva Eco-Lodge, the Galapagos National Park, and the country of Ecuador.
  • Due to force majeure, FIND Outdoors, Galapagos Adventures, Golden Galapagos, La Selva Eco-Lodge, are not responsible for anything associated with this tour that is beyond our control.
  •  If a minimum of 275 tickets is not sold, all ticketholders will receive a full refund, and the raffle will not occur. 
  • FIND Outdoors does not make or provide any representation, guarantee or warranty, expressed or implied, in connection with the Galapagos trip, and accepts no liability or responsibility therein.

Winnings:

  • 
    
    1. Once the winner has been decided, partnered donating organizations will notify FIND Outdoors of the fair market value (FMV) of the trip, and FIND Outdoors will calculate the required federal income taxes due.
    2. The raffle winner is responsible for remitting the funds to FIND Outdoors for the federal income tax. 
    3. FIND Outdoors is required by law to report the base FMV of the trip the winner chooses as gaming income to federal and state authorities and to withhold and deposit federal income taxes equal to 24% of the FMV less the wager (raffle ticket). The winner’s payment of the federal taxes to FIND Outdoors will be deposited with the US Federal Treasury, and the winner will receive credit for the taxes remitted. In order for the companies to release the travel waiver, the winner will need to provide the following to FIND Outdoors
       1. A completed form W-9.
       2. Payment to FIND Outdoors of the appropriate amount of federal tax withholding in cash or certified check.

Once both of these are received, FIND Outdoors will authorize the travel companies to release the trip vouchers. The winner will receive a Form W-2G by January 31, 2027 to use in preparing their 2026 income tax return.

The following are items included in the 3-day Galapagos cruise:

• Double accommodation (two twin beds or one matrimonial-size bed)
• Guided excursions according to the itinerary
• Top Bilingual National Park Guide
• Activity daily briefing
• Cruise Service Officer
• All meals & Snacks / Soft drinks, and juices
• Captain’s welcome and farewell cocktail
• Supplied expedition gear: water container, binoculars, action camera, snorkeling equipment (wetsuits, fins, mask, and tube)
• Use of sea kayaks and stand-up paddle boards, yoga mats, kettlebells, and dumbbells; stargazing, laser pointer

The following items are included in the 3-day La Selva Eco-Lodge and Retreat stay: 

• Airport reception and assistance in Quito and Coca
• Transfers airport-dock-airport in Coca
• Canoe ride down the Napo River towards the lodge and back
• Premium Accommodation
• Wi-Fi
• Guided excursions with a Top Bilingual National Guide & Native Guide
• Activity daily briefing
• Welcome and farewell cocktail
• All meals & snacks
• Pure water, American coffee, and herbal tea are provided at the coffee station
• Supplied expedition gear: water container and small backpack
• Raincoat and rubber boots are provided during your stay
• Yoga sessions
• Use of Kayaks

The following items are not included in the 3-day Galapagos cruise: 

• Galapagos National Park Entrance Fee 
• Round-trip flights to Galapagos 
• Transit Control Card US

• Alcoholic and bottled beverages
• Tips for the guide and crew
• Travel and Health insurance

The following items are not included in the 3-day La Selva Eco-Lodge and Retreat stay:

• SPA services and treatments
• Air tickets Quito-Coca-Quito
• Soft beverages: juices, sodas, sparkling water, and other types of coffee that are not American.
• Alcoholic Beverages
• Tips for guides and staff
• Travel and health insurance
• Souvenirs
• Personal Expenses
• Any other item not specified above

NOTE: FIND Outdoors is providing a $4,000 stipend to cover incidentals such as airfare, hotels, etc, that are not included in the stay.
